Piccadilly '69 - Eau de Parfum

Piccadilly '69 - Eau de Parfum

May 1969, Piccadilly Circus – A young Richard E.Ā Grant was wide eyed in wonderment when he firstsaw the Eros Fountain, people crammed withĀ patchouli perfumed hippies, worlds away from hisĀ home in Swaziland.

The scent of patchouli and petrol proved indelible.Ā The aroma of Earl Grey Tea with it’s Bergamot baseat Fortnum & Mason and the leather chairs, were aĀ complimentary Piccadilly mix.Ā Seeing the ground breaking musical ā€œHairā€, featuringĀ full frontal nudity and catching sight of people in see-through clothes in Soho, ignited a hormonal ā€˜rocket’ storm, topped off when Neil Armstrong stepped downĀ from a real one, when he set foot on the moon thatĀ July.

Richard has bottled these heady memories,Ā combining patchouli, petrol, bergamot, leather, muskĀ and ginger. Once again, he worked in tandem withĀ ā€˜Nose’ Alienor Massenet in Paris who expertly refinedĀ his formulas.Ā

Like JACK and JACK-COVENT GARDEN, the 100mlĀ bottle is sleeved in a Union Jack draw-string calicoĀ bag with luggage label attached to personalise onceĀ opened. And as the inscription reads on the base ofĀ the packaging ' I've been lead by my nose all my Life.

  • Top Note:Ā Bergamot
  • Middle Notes:Ā Ginger, petrol
  • Base Notes:Ā Leather, musk, patchouli
  • Perfumer:Ā Alienor Massenet
  • Created: 2016
